Our Story

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION SERVICES FOR PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES

In 2004, there was little in the way of transition support services for former professional athletes. AthLife was originally established to provide that service for athletes and organizations, focused specifically on career development and educational advisement.

Fast forward to 2023 and AthLife is contracted by unions and leagues from all major US men’s sports, and a few female professional teams, to provide support, resources, advisement, and education to the current and former players. On any given day, more than 650 ‘lifelete’s’ are in service with our team of advisors and we work with more than 1,000 athletes each year.

Sports and entertainment marketing

In 2008, we began working with Marvel Entertainment on supporting the growth of MarvelKids.com with educational programming and quickly pivoted to helping Marvel explore how they could cross over into the sports world. Over the years, Marvel has led the way for entertainment brand integration with sport, with more than 200 activations across sports this past year with teams from all major sports leagues.

Our agency has grown to also rep Skybound (Walking Dead), the documentary The Other Boys of Summer, Panoscape, and procure NIL deals for famed Netflix Last Chance U coaches John Beam (Season 5) and John Mosley (Season 6).

We have also worked with world class brands such as Adidas, Gatorade, Pepsi, Crocs, and proudly helped stand up The Joe Moore Award, which goes to the best offensive line unit in college football each year. We also incubated hustl.agency and spun that off into a retail shop that features world class athletes and entertainers on variant covers of Marvel comics.

SOCIAL IMPACT

In 2009, we established The AthLife Foundation, a 501c3 non profit organization aimed at providing grant funding, training and industry leading resources, to help schools create a critical professional mentoring position in secondary education, called an Academic Athletic Coach.

The AthLife Foundation’s national platform works to ensure that deserving kids from our nation’s most challenged, yet promising communities, can achieve in their future careers beyond sport. That Academic Athletic Coach works year round to create high impact programming, taps into a student’s passion for their sport and athletics, drives academic achievement, and prepares kids for post high school success.

Hope that helps explain a little more about who we are and our journey since 2004
