Have you ever wondered how some achieve success while others do not? Some people think success has a lot to do with luck or that success is in ones’ DNA. Yes, luck can play a role, but everyone has the same opportunity to create success. To achieve success, we can learn and implement the habits of successful people and apply them to our daily routine, but what are they?
-
Habit #1 – Reading
According to legendary investor and self-made billionaire Warren Buffett, he considers reading to be a crucial habit. Mark Zuckerberg reads a book every two weeks. If you are not sure what to read, just read what interests you; however, most successful people prefer biographies, history and self-help books.

Habit #2 – Exercise
Successful people get up and get moving! They know that if they want to perform at the top level than they need to be in the best shape. Working out regularly helps clear the mind and helps you feel more motivated. Consider carving out 30 minutes or more a day to get exercise, this could be jogging, biking, sports or fitness classes. Habit #3 – Get Up Early
The saying is true, “the early bird gets the worm”. The rule of thumb for successful people is to get out of bed at least three hours before their workday begins. People who get up earlier have proven to be more optimistic and conscientious. This time can be used to attack personal projects, exercise or plan your day.

Habit #4 – Visualize Each Day
Take advantage of quietness in the morning. You can map out the day, process goals, establish to-do’s; really do what it takes and make the most of your day. Try to spend at least 15 minutes every day visualizing. Taking the time to analyze what is going on each day has been shown to also help reduce stress.
